Catalyst Equity - Asset Management: Investor Relations – Part 6

The ‘Timeless Series’ are blogs and articles providing salient information to multifamily investors, owners, managers and others. The ‘timeless’ article may not be a recent publication but the information it provides is timeless regardless of its publication date.

Another great primer in the Asset Management Series from Catalyst Equity. The article stresses the importance of maintaining investor relationships (“IR”) be it an institutional level or with ‘friends and family.’ In either case, keeping investors informed of all meaningful developments at the property, good or bad, is essential for the relationships to continue. As the article states, often times communication with investors is constant and on-going during the acquisition phase when the capital is needed to close the deal. After that, sometimes the level of communication with investors drops off which stands to potentially jeopardize future investments. The solution? Develop a plan of communication with all investors and stick to it.
